Storyline
A dreaded eerie feeling is filtering through the swamp, not just the creatures that dwell here, but also those around the outpost can tell something is off. The sky seems to be clear, but that feeling oddly enough uneasy and unable to shake. The waters have come still, besides the slight current, dorsal fins from the marsh sharks seemed to have disappeared. The sounds from the fowl’s or that of other animals ceased.
Strangers have been spotted in areas of the swamp that is considered off limits, the spider people’ domain is there, no one could be sure, if it was the time for the people from Ar to come in and thieve from the Spider people or not, but there was something a midst, and we had to find out.
{if you start to play into this storyline, post a small summary so that others may pick up where you left off. Or a script of your roleplay.}

-[Outpost Docks]- -Stretched around the outer area of the Outpost, is a small set of docks, you can tie up your skiff,s and head up the stairs, you may be charged a fee if the proprietor thinks about it. - says to ALL: It wasn’t that long of a trek back into the swamp forest, the small fishing village was less than a psang from the outpost. I had brought Anathame back with me, she was laid on some small debris nothing of comfort by all means. The tattered and torn tunic was enough to keep her warm. I steered the small skiff up the vosk ever we were headed in a vask (south) it was almost as if I could of read her mind, but I left that in the hands of the Priest Kings. Coming up to the docks as we were, I positioned the oar out to catch the side of the docks. I stepped up from the skiff, standing the docks, I tied it off, it was there I left Anathame, the dock boy had come up. “Shall I bring her up to one of the rooms.” I thought a moment on that, “Take her to the back room, you know how to get in there don’t you?” I looked to him as he nodded, “Then do so.” I said to him.
The back room wasn’t that large, enough room for maybe four or five men to stand around a wooden table or sit around it to discuss business not meant for prying ears. Now to get to the back room there was one way only, you had to pay the proprietor for the access as there was a secret latch in the floor you had to step on so that the door would open. So far the only men to use that were thieves, mercs, outlaws, and shhh Assassins discussing business.
I looked back to the lad, “Fin, when you put her in the room come back here, I may need some assistance.” He looked to me, “Yes Master” I shuddered but it was his loss of his manhood that put him into this predicament, he would never stand as any other man would. So I agreed he may stay and work, under the guise of being owned by the outpost no man or woman would ever own him. He didn’t like it but he settled.
I walked to the end of the docks, there was some timbers there, some were broken, but I needed to measure things out. We were working on the floating ring.

Outpost Regulator. .: An eerie feeling comes over you, while you look over the murky waters, the darkness was normal, the current was evident but something was different. This wasn’t the first time you have felt that. Fin would be on his way down from putting Anathame into the back room. Fin looked his normal self, stacked to the nines with a muscular texture, it wasn’t hard to tell he came from the Tahari roots. He had been the Priest Kings gift to all women, until the drunk cut off his balls.
Fin spoke out, “Tal Master, what are you building today?” he inquired, looking towards Master Shade, he looked at the tattered dock, “you aren’t serious about the floating ring are you?” Fin had a worried look upon his face.

-[Outpost Docks]- -Stretched around the outer area of the Outpost, is a small set of docks, you can tie up your skiff,s and head up the stairs, you may be charged a fee if the proprietor thinks about it. - says to ALL: I stood up a moment more as I looked around, I heard Fin talking to me, but I looked past him, I raised up my hand and scratched my head a bit there, I looked around and shrugged it off for the moment, “yes we are building the floating arena, I would rather we fight out here, rather than bust up the rooms in the outpost, now some fights we can’t just stop, but bringing them out here, puts a more “ he thought about it, “how would you put it, killing atmosphere too it. For fear of falling in there” he pointed, pushing on Fin’s shoulder, “up for a swim?” he laughed.
I shrugged again, “Has there been anything funny going on here today? I’ve felt something off since I returned from the village?” I asked Fin. Fin looked back to me, “No not off, but something is coming, I feel it in my bones” Fin had then said. ”I don’t think it’s time for Ar to come back in here, the Spider people would be on edge, but they too have gone quiet.” I shook my head a moment. “Oh well, if something is coming we will fend it off” it was a sort of play on words to Shade.
Shade crouched down, and looked to Fin, “If we cut it here, this leaves about 15 paces of docks. That’s roughly about 45 feet, we cut that in half to give a good even placement. Good for placing bets, and then make the outpost more money and the SFR take on the action.” He laughed, “I have two saws here Fin, count out seven and half paces out, and cut, I’ll cut it here.” He nodded and headed on the way. I grabbed the first saw, and started cutting up the dock that was never used due to its temperament of the wood was compromised, we would need to fix it before fights started. I trusted Fin with weapons, and saws. He made it out and the dock was wobbly, we began the cuts at the same time that way we would work into each other rather than putting the other into the waters.
It took several ehn’s to cut through the thick temwood, but we did it, Fin almost fell in but he kept his bearings, he went down on his knees, and slowly slid back the other piece of the docks, being on the water made it far more easier to move around, as we got both pieces together, it did look rather small.
The dock was about twenty two and half feet in length but only about eight feet in width, “ We are going to have to go to the Island and get some of the broken boats here, and fashion a good five feet on either side.” I said to Fin as he laughed and looked to me, “Don’t tell me I told you so, as you’ll go swimming. “ his eyes went wide, he looked at me. “Not what I was laughing at Master, there is a load of lumber on the other side of the outpost, it was to repair this end of the dock, but we can use it to build it up and out.” I laughed, “Then what are you waiting for, go and get it. “ you were right I was going to utilize the use of a slave at this point.
Fin had groaned and then started to walk towards the barge that had the wood, he didn’t know where the ship captain was, but he had left it there more than a hand ago, and well, that left only one way over moving it, Fin had to be glad the barge that was used here in the swamp was truly no bigger then two joined skiffs. He had the rope in hand as he was pulling it along the docks, he was fully extend, the muscles in his entire form were contracting as he was pulling it. But he had to keep tension on it so that it wouldn’t move out of control. He finally got it to where Shade was at, sweat pouring off of his brow, he was exhausted by the sounds of it. Shade looked to him, “hope your not tired already. “ he laughed Fin was breathing heavily.

Outpost Regulator. .: You can see Fin coming around the corner with the barge, the strain it takes him to move such weight is mesmerizing to the eyes. The strength that man possessed was uncanny, the way he moved the large object even on water was evidently he was strong and a good addition to the outpost, he would be able to keep an eye upon Anathame and her antics. But you notice darkness come over the sky, it wasn’t cold enough for snow, nor was it warm enough for rain. When Fin approached you with the lumber, he tied off the barge of wood. A lone spider high on the con-lon fiber scurried across the webbing that went on for many pasang. Fin would look to you with a strange look upon his face. “What ever is coming, I didn’t do it” Fin said.

-[Fighting Dock]- -Surrounded by the murky waters is a floating arena, the area is nearly twenty by twenty feet, with scorns of opportunity to fall into the murky depths. - says to ALL: Fin and Shade had begun to work, Shade looked to Fin,”if something is coming I’m blaming you” Fin looked then to Shade, “Master, I know I am not to argue with free’ like yourself, but no chance in the City of Dust are you blaming this on me. Its Ar, always has been always will be Ar’s fault. And that’s what I will go with.” Shade laughed to the words that Fin was spewing. The both had hammers in hand, and laying the timbers down, making 45 degree angles, and joists, to join and sister up with the docks. And laying each timber down, with a ladder style, enough space between each beam, so the wood could breath and escape when it rained.
Several Ahn had passed, the eerie feeling was still there, one of the tavern girls from the outpost came out with two botas of water, giving them both to me, as she spoke, “Master I don’t serve the likes of him” she glared towards Fin, I shrugged, “you do today,” I said to her, she looked to me, he teeth gritted, “but Master he is a , he is , he is a thrall, “ I looked to the slave girl, “Finn may be a thrall, but he has put in a good days work.” I said to her ”Master that should not matter its what the likes of him are for” she was standing firm in her words. “You either serve him, or you trade him jobs, and work out here, and pull the barge where I desire it, can you do that?” The red tone in her face was evident, she threw the bota at him, “ here boy” Fin caught it, he dumped the contents over his head and sucked some back, the glistening water over his chest, as the slave caught herself staring. Shade broke out laughing. ”Seems a kajira likes this thrall.” Fin almost choked on the water, as the tiny slave girl stormed off.
I looked over the docks as I sat there, the new arena looked well, it was about twenty two feet in length, and about twenty feet wide, it was a good squared platform. I stood up and walked upon it. Stomping my feet down every several feet. “Fin tie it off. “ I laughed; Fin ran over and tied off the floating arena. “You do good work Fin, I may have to make you the resident builder “ I laughed, as did Fin, finally tying off “this will do well for several fights. “ I continue, Fin looked prideful at this point. “Fin, I have a quest for you. “ I said to him.
Fin looked back to Shade at that moment, “What is the quest Master?” Fin had said. ”I want you to go to the Elder of the Spider People, the nesting area is in the Var Quadrant you’ll find him there, ask him of this eerie feeling we are having, and report only back to me, you may take enough food for two day travel.” Fin nodded his head, “I’ll head out in the morning. I want to be able to do this for you, and honestly Master today I am exhausted” he laughed, as did Shade.

...In the distance a motion in the depths of the water can be seen, no one knows if it is a school of marsh sharks, or something worse. Careful when swimming as something is lurking beneath the depths...

-[ Eastern Swamp Quadrant ]- - You are in the eastern area of the swamp, several hundred pasang into the treacherous and web domain of the spider people. - says to ALL: Day four found me asleep. We’d travelled all through the night. Damn those thieves. Mind was spinning wicked dreams about being captured. Slowly my head lifted. The barge was still. Grounded at shore with Miles at my side.
”Sleep well?” Lying again, “Yes. Where are we?” “Still on the barge.” My brow rose. I wanted to fly off some sarcastic remark. It was stuck to my tongue. “Logan and Conner?” I felt the grin to his face. “Hunting.” I wondered what. “Food or the thieves from last night.” Letting go of my pack and bed roll feet left the barge to meet land.
”a little of both.” He said. Over a small fire water heated in a small kettle. I found a cup to add a bit of tea. Leaves and herbs were tied in a strip of cloth. As it steeped a seat was taken on the ground. Carried in small hands the fragrant scent warmed my nose. Too sleepy to search out the honey I drank of the brew. Hints of rose and the black tea crashed by lips, oh I needed that jolt to my senses. I drank my fill. Cup took possession of my knee. Empty it rested there. I needed to stretch taut muscles. I stood. Cup thumped the ground. Arms went wide. Fingers drug hands to my back. Coal tangles swung to one. My neck popped.
”What are the plans for today?” Feet took to pacing. Miles in thought looked from sorting through a pack. “Same as before, we walk.” I grunted. My foot was still aching.

-[ Small Branches of Water ]- - Just like the main waterway, the secondary streams that branch off will lead you all over the place, there is no current map of the swamp, those that know their way around have gotten lost for days; others have died due to not finding their way out. - says to ALL: I had set out yesterday, I was in a small skiff, slowly making it through some of the smaller waterways, I made careful note of all that was going on around me, the way some animals in the webbing above moved, the con-lon fiber was noticeable, and it was truly exquisite some would agree. It was no wonder why the people of Ar wanted it and stole for what they desired; it was quite beautiful and strong. I steered my way along the current, not to wind myself, or cause any strife or unwanted attention. I too could be considered a visitor here, among the unknown travelers even though I resided in the swamp forest. Only reason I had not been bugged was due to agreements made with Zsarin, and elder of the spider people.
I could see in my way some freshly fallen debris, I brought the oar out to my left side, positioning the end of the oar against the fallen debris, pushing myself away from the dangers and continuing towards the Klim. The waterways were a maze on their own, making simple mental stamps in my head of certain foliage and how it looked, allowed me almost to create mental landmarks so that I could find my way back.
It had been days since I last saw the dorsal fin of a marsh shark, and I thought I saw one not too far ahead. But it disappeared before I could get too close, I reached down and rubbed my knees, I swear I didn’t know how slaves did it on their knees all day, this was killing me and it had not been a full twenty ahn as of yet. I could see the darker waters of the klim area, the western waters rarely traveled due to the nesting areas of the spider people.

It gave not many details, but a menu of goods, cleaning, and an inventory. IT also detailed that Shade would be back sometime today, he had gone off to the Klim area of the swamp. There was a man In the main room, that may need to be mended due to an attack to the side of his face. Also hanging on the wall was bandages for your feet, with a scratched S mark on the paper indicating it was from your owner.

-[ Eastern Swamp Quadrant ]- - You are in the eastern area of the swamp, several hundred pasang into the treacherous and web domain of the spider people. - says to ALL: I wanted to suggest we take the barge instead. No. That wouldn’t do. I huffed out a breath. In the distance I heard crunch of heavy boots. I bent taking hold my things. Pack slung to a shoulder I saw the mop of Logan’s ginger head with Conner taking up the rear.
”Any news?” Miles’ gruff voice shot out. “Fish” Conner held up a string with his morning catch. “Nary a sign of them.” Logan added. Fish again. Soon I’d be transformed into one the creatures swimming the murky depths. “None for me.” I had some bread and dried meat to my pack. If I got the hankering to eat, I’d dig them out. Fish was cleaned, gutted and searing over the fire. Absently I watched them nearly swallow the fish whole.
An ahn later we moved away from the barge and camp. Conner took up the rear this time round. I kept my distance. I limped behind Logan. Heat from the sun beat to my back. Lost. We’d been fools. Any moment I expected something to cross our path. Sweat marred my forehead. It rolled around underneath my robes.
”Keep up.” I felt a poke to my back. Conner was on a roll again. Feet shuffled forward. I longed for a bath. A swim even. My head shook. No swim. I’d become shark bait. Conner would roll in laughter before he’d help me out.

Cold chills could be felt going up the spines of yourself and your escorts. The feeling is uneasy but what truly could it be.

-[ Eastern Swamp Quadrant ]- - You are in the eastern area of the swamp, several hundred pasang into the treacherous and web domain of the spider people. - says to ALL: Our steps slowed. Fog had overtaken us. So thick you slice it. A foreboding chill trampled my spine. And from the looks of it I wasn’t the only one. Logan swallowed a gulp of air. In Conner’s eyes held a queasy expression. Miles, he was quiet. Eyes chanced a look up at the crystal blue skies. Lost. The word haunted my head again.
Miles’s hand motioned for us to keep moving…….slower. In the wake of Miles and Logan I no longer had to struggle my steps. My foot still ached. Toes and top of my foot felt tight and swollen. Whew, the sound left my mouth. The heavy breath sounded more like a short whistle. My feet were covered in the enveloping fog. Visibility was the backs of Miles and Logan. Beyond was lost to me. Tentatively my fingers captured hold of Logan’s tunic. Him as my lead I carried on. Smile tugged to lips. Dare I fall he’d go down with me. Rustle of his ginger head turned. He forced a chuckle. Had I spoken my thoughts?
”Hold up.” Miles and Conner swept along the water’s edge. Logan and I were left behind. I heard a large splash. Face upturned looking into Logan’s wide eyes. His hand fell to the hilt of his sword. I circled around to his left away from the sound of the water.

-[Western Swamp Quadrant]- - You are in the western area of the swamp, several hundred pasang into the treacherous and web domain of the spider people. - says to ALL: Seeing the bolster of thick fog moving around the waters, this actually made Shade think, and question what the hell was he doing out here, instead of working on the outpost; he had just secured the twenty two and half foot floating arena. Well him and Fin did, but Shade would claim credit of a slave. But he liked the thrall, and no not in that way either. He finally made it past the debris in the waterway, he was nearing one of the main waterways that oved throughout the swamp forest. Catching the current, I steered my way along, so that I could get into the Klim waterways, I hadn’t seen a sign of Fin’s skiff as of yet, though the waves speak of a large barge by the way the ripples in the water go through. I looked around not seeing it; I could only imagine it getting stuck.in the depths of the water, shaking the thought from my head as I didn’t want to get stuck either so I steered clear of that peril, taking another small waterway, I steered, using the oar like that of a rudder to keep me out of the dangerous routes.
It wasn’t long before I could see more and thicker con-lon fiber, the webbing as an art within itself; I had only presumed if the Artisans were here, they would learn a lot from these creatures. I saw high in the tree canopy, I wasn’t alone, and they were watching me.
I was a stranger, and stranger in any area meant enemy. I laid the oar across the front of me where I was knelt in the skiff, I opened my arms up out to the sides, showing the only weapons I had on me was the quiver of ten bone tipped fleeted arrows and the horn bow both in front of me, no arrows were notched, they were all secure in the quiver.
You could almost hear them scurrying amongst themselves around me, but I didn’t want to make any alarming move or any of the sorts. They were a neutral party in any aspects; I did not want to start a confrontation I would definitely not win. Course I could only presume that would make some happy and others not. But I wouldn’t jeopardise myself for the life of a slave I sent to seek out the nothing.
I cleared my throat, I did not move my arms, even though it left me wide open for an attack, I left it at that, “I am Shade from the Outpost in the Vask Quadrant” I said with completely honest as the outpost was out in the south, closer to the thieves known as Ar. “ I seek to speak with Zsarin, “ a mechanical voice, came from the depths sounded like it came from all directions. “You speak of knowledge of our Elder, what is it that you seek to know? The stranger known as Shade.” I looked around, I couldn’t rightfully see where the voice was coming from, I knew I wasn’t in their territory yet. ”I only wish to speak or have an audience with Zsarin, I want to know of this nothingness feeling flooding the area of the swamp? Is it common for all to go eerily silent? Has it happened before?” I was curious so I did have lost of questions. The voice came out again. “Does Zsarin know that you are coming? “ I called out to the voice, “ No, I had sent a scout out, his name is Fin, a kajirus a worker I have at the outpost. I had not heard word from him, so I was unsure if he had made it here or not.” I fell silent as I heard no response for several ehn, the voice came again, “Your slave did make it to our nest, he is in the presence of our council. You may enter, ask your questions and then leave.” I did not ask about Fin, or taking him out of the nesting area, but I was sure I would have to deliberate that with the Council. Not something I was known for being diplomatic but I would have to try in this instance.
I brought my hands in to my sides, I took up the oar again, and slowly paddled my way into the nesting area of the Spider People.

·A n a t h a m e· |Property of Shade| [Outlaw Pass Outpost | IC]
-[Outlaw Pass - Kitchen]- - You thought the tavern was small, hell the kitchen is smaller, there is a small stove, two pots and that is about it enough room for a kajira or bondmaid.- says to ALL: There was the expectation that the anger in her would quell...eventually. In truth, she had wished on it more than anything. But it remained with her, eating her from the inside out. And it was because of that, that she kept a careful distance from him. It took days of walking carefully before the bottom of her feet no longer felt as if they were on fire each time she pressed the weight of herself on the soles of her feet. Now, it was bearable and only a little sore.
There had been a strange sort of silence that settled over the place over the last few days. At first, she thought it was simply her imagination and the fact that her mood was so dark. But, it was something else. The more she noticed the strangeness, the harder it became to brush it under the rug as if it were some unwelcome ramblings of her imagination. Anathame had thought the place beautiful in a wild, unpredictable way. There was no way to tame a place like this without completely removing the thing that made it magnificent. Now that she understood the strange beings that lived in the trees and watched from a safe distance, she found that she was no longer afraid of them at all. The darkness seemed less...terrifying and the sounds in the night had no longer made her skin crawl. Of course, it was no Venna. Venna with its beautiful city, manufactured rolling heels and perfect gardens. Even her own home was regulation--to a point. And while she missed the simplicity of her life as a free woman--there was no denying this place. Her slavery, she hated. Never in her life had she been so ill-suited to a position. But there was no going back. There was no home for her to return to...that life didn't belong to her anymore. And though it had been days since she accepted it...the fury was still enough to keep her awake most nights.
Anathame was in the small kitchen within the bar area. The cleaning of this place wasn't so bad. Even if Shade didn't tell her to clean it, she would have done so anyway...just for something to do. She wished she could say that the thought of escape disappeared that other night when he found her in the fishing village. But she thought about it every moment of every day. And he wasn't here right now. She wasn't tied or tethered to anything, but rather free to move about as she pleased without anyone spying on her. However, Anathame was afraid as ti what would happen if she dared try it again. For now, that kept her still. She slid her hands into the wooden bucket filled with cold water, squeezing out a rag and flicking a spider from the counter with her index finger.

-[ Eastern Swamp Quadrant ]- - You are in the eastern area of the swamp, several hundred pasang into the treacherous and web domain of the spider people. - says to ALL: Ehn’s crept slowly by. Miles and Conner could no longer be heard or seen. Had the swamp swallowed them? I was frozen on the spot. Logan a statue as well, bathed in thick rising fog. I wanted to race back home. But home was no more. Home was lost. The markets became a transient home. That is where I met the brothers. First I had worked at the shop belonging to Miles. I’d spoken of traveling. That is how the idea began. Miles had the itch for an adventure. He cajoled his brothers to join. Conner took more pressure. He was determined to stay, chase slaves and drink of paga. Week’s I earned the coin needed for travel. My teas were in fashion. Women sought them out daily. M prices were lower than other competitors.
Fingers tugged on Logan’s tunic. He placed a finger to his mouth. He was trying to listen to life beyond the fog. Conner slammed into my back. Miles had materialized in front of Logan. Once more we sluiced thru the fog.
A tentative grip on Logan’s tunic, he’d became my lifeline. I kept my head lowered expecting to see the rise and fall of my feet. They were never seen. I followed mutely my grip tightening on his tunic. Fear seeped from my pores. Nothing was said. Time for words long gone. Time of day was beyond counting. I took to gazing upwards. Spindles stretched from the trees. I’d heard the rumors how valuable the webs were to those of Ar. The fiber used in the mills. Perhaps that is what the thieves sought. Like a dull blade we moved even slower midst the fog.
”Water.” Logan shared. I drank a big swallow.

-[Lair of the Spiderpeople]- - You have entered into a place not normally traveled, the entry way is much too small for a barge, a small skiff may allow you entry. Located in the Klim area of the swamp - says to ALL: I had found a torch outside the entrance to the lair, I looked around. The torch had already been lit, I wasn’t sure if they even used fire, perhaps they had Fin light up the torch, I reached down taking hold of the torch with my left hand, I left my weapons on the skiff, I didn’t want to show any offensive measures to the arachnoids they were a superior creature of sorts, something I knew very little about.
As I made my way through the underbrush, I ducked beneath some extensive weaving of con-lon fiber. I moved the torch low, as I felt my feet sinking into the mud, and swamp water, the sloshing sound of my steps evidently heard when I was making my way into the liar. The glow from the torch seemed to bounce all across the area I was located in, I saw Fin there, standing by Zsarin, he was the only one I had ever met. But there looked to be a high guard around him. I knew they weren’t violent creatures but having been mistreated by the citizens of Ar for so long anything could truly happen. .
“Tal Zsarin, “ I said as I spoke out. The mechanical voice vibrated near me, “Tal Shade, your boy, was found lurking where he doesn’t belong.” I inclined my head, “I’m sorry Zsarin, it was meant in no disrespect.” I had spoken the truth in the matter. ”I had sent Fin, “ I pointed to the slave. “here on my behalf. There is a mysterious eerie, thick fog, something I have not experienced here before.” I said to him. Zsarin had released Fin to me, he moved towards where I stood. ”Master, “ Fin spoke, I dismissed him behind me. ”Do you know of the eerie in which I speak of?” I asked Zsarin. Zsarin looked to me, the voice his multitude of eyes, “We too have seen this approaching, this is new to us as well. “ The look of loss upon my face was evident. ”I really didn’t want to hear that Zsarin, but I understand, perhaps we both and our people can keep an eye out and see what does come of this fog.” I nodded to him. ”Yes indeed, we will as well. “ Zsarin had said. I spoke again,. “ I again applogize for the intrusion that I had Fin do on my behalf, I will punish him for his own transgressions.” I spoke firmly. ”We will hold you to that Shade of the Outpost” the color in Fin’s face had then faded. “ I bid you all a good night, Zsarin, I must return to the outpost. “ Zsarin spoke, “Fin’s punishment will occur here,” I closed my eyes a moment, I looked then to Fin, “Give me your hand, “ I said firmly, “you need these, but this will heal” I grabbed his baby finger, and pulled it back as far as it would go giving it a hard twist with my right hand and also my weight behind it, the bone contorted and snapped, the sound almost sounded as if it had echoed in the lair. Zsarin was pleased as he had left the area, I looked to Fin, as he screamed at the sheer pain, “We’ll set it once back at the Outpost.” He nodded.
Proceeding to leave the lair, we made our way out to the skiff, the one Fin had arrived on was destroyed, I tossed the torch into the murky waters, as we began our journey back to the Outpost.

-[Outpost Docks]- -Stretched around the outer area of the Outpost, is a small set of docks, you can tie up your skiff,s and head up the stairs, you may be charged a fee if the proprietor thinks about it. - says to ALL: Descending the stairs of the outpost, I had already in partition strung together two small skiffs, one with supplies, the other with pelts for warmth, several sleen daggers, also two horn bows, with a quiver of three and a bolt count of thirty. I had acquired this map that I was looking at, the symbol upon it, the center of three circles one above the other, had me question what else was there in the midst of the swamp, the vast area that this place was, and what could be would be something I would like to explore, having asked Fin to join me on this expedition, I had also brought Anathame down into the skiff, laid her upon the stack of pelts. I knew how she detested Fin, but he was a good fighter, and tracker. He too saw the symbol and thought that we should explore it more too where its nature was from.
I stood on the docks there, I looked over the map, which now I have tucked away inside my cloak, I wore lighter boots then my tharlarion boots, these boots were outer lined with marsh shark, to give them an almost waterproof texture. I checked off a few things before I stepped down into one of the skiffs, I took hold of an oar, pressing it onto the edge of the docks, pushing off, we began to float upon the current to the depths of the unknown.

-[ Small Branches of Water ]- - Just like the main waterway, the secondary streams that branch off will lead you all over the place, there is no current map of the swamp, those that know their way around have gotten lost for days; others have died due to not finding their way out. - says to ALL: I looked upon Anathame’s sleeping form, her butt looked cute from here begging to be fucked, I smirked at the thought I looked then back to Fin, “Keep the oar firm in the current, we are headed to the Rim Quadrant” I spoke to Fin, I didn’t have to look back I knew he knew well of the compass rose formation. We would possibly find the island before we would find any of what I was looking for. All it said on the map was Infinis Iniq and it had the strange spiral design on the map itself. I would have to find what this meant. I thought about throwing some ta grapes at Anathame, but instead I pushed a few of the grapes into my mouth chewing on them slowly. I had brought enough provisions that would sustain us for a good three or four days out on the swamps, unless Mayhem, or other Outlaws would come through attempting to claim what belongs to the Regulators.
I brought my oar out, I was also assisting the rudder job, but I was also pushing myself through the swamp at the same time. I could see more movement in the foliage above me but I made no mention of it, Zsarin would of said not to go into the area of the unknown if it were a bad omen. But I knew we were being watched, the men had the Outpost, but I wanted to find the Infinis Iniq and exactly what it was.

I felt something rock into one of the skiffs primarily the one I was on. I looked over and saw that of a triangular fin, it was a marsh shark, I was thinking great to myself we in a nest of shark. I looked then back to Fin, he too was asleep. I sat up, and I yelled. “WAKE UP!!” Anathame remained asleep, but Fin, leapt up and then into the waters, he stood up, and yelled back, “I’m AWAKE”, it wasn’t even a half an ihn, and Shade turned to him and yelled “SHARK!!” it didn’t take Fin long before he was getting back into the skiff, Shade leaned over and held it still, so that he wouldn’t topple over and into the waters. I could hear Fin taking in multiple breaths, as the shark swam away.
“I thought you both would of made it to the Island, “ I shook my head. Fin, looked to me. “Master, we would of made it but we were very tired, we, I mean I thought it would be best to rest with an anchor” Fin, reached over and tugged upon the weighted line. “I see, are we at least in the right area?” I stared towards him. Fin, was still resting, his heart possibly in his throat, “Master, I may have to take another swim.” Shade looked to Fin, “I don’t think I want to know why, but make it quick.” I said. Fin took off his shirt, most free women would drool over him, he pushed off the skiff, and dove into the water with little splash, his arms went forward, hands together, feet up and over his head. It was several ehn, before I saw Fin again, he broke the surface of the water, his hair flaring up like a sunburst, and dropping down his back. His back littered with the scars from a whip, his chest was the same, Fin was equipped with the washboard ab affect. I looked to him, “Show off” I laughed. Fin, reached the edge of the second skiff lifting himself up, and rolled into skiff. ‘Thank you Master, I needed that.”Shade laughed, why because Fin had shit himself.
I reached up as Fin, looked like he was relaxing, I took up both of the oars on my skiff, “Man the rudder Fin, “ I stated. Turning around I put my feet firmly to one of the benches, I put the oars to the side, as I pushed my arms forward, dipping the oars into the water, bringing my arms forward and down, and pushing out again in a cylinder fashion, each time a bit harder and faster, which in turn allowed the propulsion of the current and oars momentum to move us through the waters, the Tor-tu Gor was out, but on its way down. I didn’t stop the rotation.

Outpost Regulator. .: It wasn't so much that she was always asleep--it was usually that when you and Fin were asleep...she was awake. Anathame had been eerily quiet for a little while now. She wasn't plotting anything, of course--not this time. But she was uneasy about this entire trip. Not once had she voiced these things...not outwardly. Perhaps she knew that because now she was a slave, her opinion mattered less and less. The sound of shouting had come to her belatedly. The woman sat up and rubbed her eyes with the heel of her palm, just in time to see Fin burst out of the water. A look of faint distaste crossed her eyes briefly. But it was only a small flicker of...something. Even she didn't understand why she disliked him. It couldn't be jealousy--because that was ridiculous. Nevermind that you two seemed to get along swimmingly and Fin always seemed to want to go above and beyond. His desire to be pleasing was nauseating. Anathame sat up some, brushing a curtain of hair from her face as she stared at Fin for a moment while her eyes tried to focus. Maybe she did sleep too much. It was the dreamless sort of sleep, however. No dreams. No thoughts. Just black. When she was awake, she felt everything, thought of everything. There was constant chatter in her brain and...sometimes...it was too much. "Master..." She said by way of greeting, her voice still husky from having just woke up. Anathame had the grace to be somewhat embarassed by the amount of time that she slept.

Seeing the look you had given Fin, I was sure you dispised him but that was nothing new for kajira, and free women they detested kajirus anyways. So that mattered little, seeing that you went back to sleep. I shook my head, I looked to Fin, “Your sleeping with her tonight” I motioned to the sleeping beauty in front of me. I gripped the oars firmly, I felt the skiff go to a thud, as we came into contact with the island, I looked back to Fin, “Really, you couldn’t row a few more paces “ I laughed, “Lets take the gear out, find the camp fire, start it, and lets settle in for the night. “

-[ Eastern Small Island ]- - In the rancid fog that emits from all corners of the swamp, a small island emerges, the island large enough to camp out on by not live due to the rising of the water. - says to ALL: I grabbed the end of one of the skiffs it was slightly heavy, but the rope I wrapped around m y right arm, and wound the rope around my hand with several large steps, I slowly dragged the skiff up onto the Island in the Rim Quadrant. This area was sort of spooky, dark, the crackling of a fresh fire nearly ten paces inland. I got the heavy skiff upon the beach, I moved to the other skiff, as I untangled my right arm, it was a bit lighter, I didn’t motion for Fin, as he was off taking care of things for the fire, also making sure nothing would eat us during the night. I took hold of this skiff, and pulled it too up onto the beach.
I placed my right hand down upon the edge of the skiff, I took in a few deep slow breaths, and I repeated to myself, “ I am not getting old, I am not getting old. “ I had said to twice just to make myself believe it. I could feel Fin looking at me, but I didn’t pay it no mind honestly. I sucked in a breath, pushing away from one skiff, to the other, I reached in and pulled out two botas. Leaving nathame in the main skiff; I walked back to where the fires were being set up. “catch, “ I said to Fin. Fin Looked up, and caught the oncoming bota, “Thank you Master.” Fin had said. I looked to him and nodded, “Your welcome, you’re doing good work.” I saw him simile, it wasn’t often that any saw Fin smile. I sat down on one of the logs, as did Fin, I treated him as no lesser then what he was, but I would never allow him to kneel in front of me. I pulled the cork free from the bota, I dumped out a little upon the ground, “For my fallen comrades” I nodded, and cheered up to the Tri Moons. As did Fin, I chuckled. But he too was once a warrior. Its funny how far we had actually fallen. “To those fallen from grace” we laughed.
I took in a long drink of the paga, smacking my lips together, “Yum.” Fin made a funny face, and sucked in a breath. “Been too long hasn’t it “ I laughed at Fin. He looked to me, “Not funny Master” I chuckled more. I sat my bota down upon the ground. I looked to one of the packs that Fin had brought over to the area of refuge. I took out one of the manual tools, and it was a shovel, I started to dig down into the sand, digging a small hole in the ground about six feet wide, by ten feet long.
I left it deep, “Why such a large hole Master,” Fin had asked, I looked to him. “Its large so that we may put some furs in there, and keep out of the way of the wind. It is still quite cold out, and we don’t need to freeze” I said to him, as he nodded his head. Fin turned and looked to me, “Where is the other slave, what did you call her Anathame?” I looked over to him, “sleeping in the skiff.” He chuckled I had to think a bit there, as I wasn’t sure why she was sleeping so much, I made sure to give her the slave wine hadn’t I. I thought about this, shaking the thought from my head. “Alright Fin, go to the Skiff that you were in, and bring over the three mounds of sleen pelts, and the two larl pelts” I said to him.
“We will make this our base camp, the fog hasn’t come here yet, but I see its over there “ Fin looked. “That fog is eerie Master; did the Spiders know what it was?” I shook my head to his words. “I have located a map in the Outpost, I have it with me, it is why we are here. There are marks on it that I want to follow and see where they lead, perhaps we’ll find something we all desire.” I said to him, Fin nodded again. “Yes Master.” It was all he had said within those moments.
I moved then with Fin, as I finished up the shovelling there was a wind breaker of dirt behind us, I stepped up out of the hole, the fire was in front so that the window wouldn’t blow out the flames, the embers in the sands would keep us all warm as well. I did know that Anathame detested Fin, but I was unsure why. We would have to eliminate that feeling if possible, but I don’t involve myself in with slave squabbles.
There was a sudden splash in the water, I looked over, and its then I could see the Prison moon light breaching through the canopy of tree’s the true tarn wires that kept those vicious birds out of the belly of the swamp. But also in the swamp that splash you could just make out the outline of a marsh shark leaping out of the water to the gant that was near, it was epic, it would have been better in the day as I would have been able to see it get eaten but I could deal with my imagination for now.

-[ Eastern Small Island ]- - In the rancid fog that emits from all corners of the swamp, a small island emerges, the island large enough to camp out on by not live due to the rising of the water. - says to ALL: Shade moved towards the skiffs, he had several pieces of equipment in there, that he would need to consider. Fin was there also, gathering up the rest of the furs, I grabbed my satchel. I hoisted the satchel strap up and over my head with my right hand, having the sack portion hang off my left hand side. I looked around in the skiff, I brought out two quivers of ten fleeted arrows each, also there was two horns and one long bow, I brought out the long bow and the short bow.
Fin looked to me, “Why all the bows?” I looked to Fin as he had asked just that,”Well if I am sleeping, I want you to be able to grab a bow, and fend off any that get near. I trust you.” I said to him. He looked to me, “Master, it has been ages since I have taken up a weapon. I cannot strike a free, you know this.” I looked to him, “I know you cannot, but you’re not striking a free, you are defending your owner, when he cannot defend himself that is the difference.” The look still evident upon his face, I thought a moment; “I know the last time you brought up arms against another, and what it was that you lost. I commend you for your actions.” Thinking more on how to word the issue, “You would not want harm to come to me, or anything I own right?” I questioned him.
“No Master, you have given me the life that no other has ever offered most would of killed me by now or sold me to the klima mines as a work slave, where you almost found me.” I chuckled. “I would never ask you to do something against another that I did not wish. I would never have you strike a free without just cause.” Fin nodded his head. “Yes Master.”
About an ahn has gone by, Shade and Fin, both building up the fires, getting the perimeter checked out, Fin brings, Anathame over to the dugout fur pit that was set up for all of them, and area sectioned off for Shade and Anathame to spoon, and a place at the feet for Fin. The warm winds begin to move over the island, the fog seeping along the edges of the waters, creeping up near the shore line.
I moved near the pit, I put my long bow, and quiver of ten fleeted arrows, over to the area where I would be resting my head, as I placed the other near to where Fin would be at. I watched how you brought Anathame over, “Thank you Fin.” I said to him. “You’re welcome Master.” Fin had said. I sat down upon the furs now, I pulled the satchel off of my shoulder, as I sat down. I undid the flaps, I made sure we were near the fire, I motioned for Fin to sit, “I want to show you something” I said to him. Fin sat down near to where Shade was sitting. Shade undid the map, laying it out setting some small stones down to hold it out. “We are here, “ I pointed on the map. Fin nodded his head, he looked to the symbol. “We are going here.” I pointed to the spot that said Infinis Iniq, my finger tapped about the triskelion symbol. “Have you seen symbols like this before” I asked of Fin, and Fin nodded his head yes. “Actually I have, they are not too far from here, when I was free I used to do some trades in that district.” I nodded to such recollections “I am glad I brought you with then. I want to find this place. Have you seen anything like this map before?” I asked him again. br>
“May I Master?” Fin asked, he turned the map towards him, and making several almost cartographers guesses, he looked around. “This would be so much easier in the light of day Master” we both laughed to such thoughts.
“Oh I know it would be, but we deal with what we have” Fin nodded, “Yes Master.” “If my memory serves me accurately Master, this area here, is maybe less than two ahn from where we are at now.” I looked to Fin, “Are you serious?” Fin nodded his head, “Dead serious Master, but it’s dangerous there, not even the Spiders go there.” I thought about this with even his warning. “Well, we have come this far, we may as well go the rest of the way.” Fin nodded, as did I. “Well I am glad we are on the same page, “ Fin looked up, “Since I am helping you with the map, if any swimming is needed, can you make Anathame do it?” I looked to Fin and laughed, “How about you take that up with her, and I’ll stay out of it.” I laughed, seeing the distained look on his face.
“Can’t blame a guy for trying Master, you don’t know things unless you ask right?” Fin said. “That is very true Fin, if you don’t try you’ll never succeed.” Taking the map back, I rolled it up and tucked it beneath my tunic into a hidden pocket that was sewn into the fabric. I thought a few more ehn on the subject. And then I heard my stomach rumble, “ Why not fry up some marsh shark that’s in one of the satchels in the skiff, I am starving, and since you know how to cook I’m leaving it to you Fin.” The look on his face was priceless.

says to ALL: I had Fin tie off the skiffs near the landing as we came through the tree line, having been lucky to catch a ride on a caravan, they had said were headed for the markets. In needing of some supplies, we leapt onto the wagon, and got a ride into the nearest village. I looked to Fin, “ We will need to gather supplies, nourishment” Fin had nodded to my words. It wasn’t long before I saw the merchant, a man that frequented the shelves of the Outpost. It was Thierry, I waved to him, as we came into the streets, I handed Fin some small amounts of coin, and other items to barter with, he nodded and made his way from where we were located. The streets were full of men and women tonight. Seeing the odd piece of property in service was good to see.
I approached Thierry’s table, “Tal Thierry, have you been to the outpost?” I asked of him. Thierry looked to me, “No I haven’t Captain” he chuckled. I laughed with him on his remarks, “When near the docks, there is a strange eerie there. I am here with Fin gathering supplies. “I had said to him then. Thierry nodded in regards to my words. “Careful in here tonight, there are hot heads around” knowing what Thierry meant by those words I would take the advice in his words he would never lead me astray.
I motioned him to the side as we stepped inside his store front; closing the door behind us I flipped the sign from open to close, I reached then inside my cloak and laid out a map upon the counter top. “ You ever see these markings before?” I asked of him. Thierry, turned the map towards him, he took out a piece of glass that would allow him to angle it so that he could read it better, “Infinis Iniq?” he had said, “What is this?” Thierry had said. “Your guess is as good as mine is. I was hoping for your enlightenment as you have been in the swamps longer then I have.”
“Could you leave this map with me Captain?” I looked to Thierry as he asked the question, “I wish I could, but we; well Fin and I, are in the quest to follow the map and the markings to see where it leads us. You may take some of the information but unfortunately the map is coming with me.” I said to him, “Fair enough” Thierry regarded, it is then he started wrting down the words, and also drawing out the symbol. “These markings are strange, I will see what I Can find out.” I nodded to his words. “Well I will let you get back to your business, I have to seek some drink tonight” we both laughed.

says to ALL: I heard the talk of fights, and how the guards here in the market had this place under heavy guard, I began to look through the crowd, it was not until now that I see the overbearing men in all area’s there were two or three in the main vendor areas another few in the streets. I pushed up from the larl wall I leaned upon, I looked to my left, right, and then behind me. I thought a moment was there an alarm that was pulled pointing to the center hub with a big bright flaming Priest Kings flame saying thieves in the market, but no one had ever told on the Merchants before and how they robbed us all blind. I had to think there was more to this dilemma.
It wasn’t long before I noticed Fin making his way through the crowd, he was a medium sized man, broad shoulders, built like Arian shit house, wash board abs that made most free women and kajira alike just swoon and drool over until they find out he is a slave, and missing his balls.
I nodded as he arrived, “Tal Fin, “ I said to him. Fin replied, “Tal Master, I have located some rations for the trip.” I nodded to his words. “I am glad you have found the rations, I ran into Thierry, he’ll be looking into” I looked around, and whispered barely auditable, “Infinis Iniq” I hushed my words. “Did he know what it meant?” I shook my head to Fin’s words.
Fin proceeded to lean in the area where I was, I looked at him, “You got laid didn’t you” I laughed. He reached over and pushed me, “Oh yes Master, I fucked all the slaves in the Bakery Alley” I laughed loudly, seeing a few free women look my way, as Fin stuck out his tongue, and winked at them I reached up and smack the back of his head hard, Fin groaned, “What was that for Master?” he asked. “I may be a free, but I’m not blind.” Fin laughed to my words, “Wouldn’t surprise me if you attempted it” he laughed when I said that, “Well I will need two twigs, and some binding fiber to get it up.” I laughed so hard and loud that when I dropped my head down I hit it off of the wall, “Ouch” I continued to laugh. I was laughing so hard that I grabbed at my chest. Taking in full breaths I was slowly my laughter down before I fell over. I rubbed my head a bit, I looked away from Fin, seeing the free women had stuck their noses in the air. I heard one of them mumble, the likes of that slave bantering with a warrior. Looking back to Fin, I said, “Their jealous I’m speaking to you. Maybe you should go talk to them?” Just as I said that, the two free women got up and moved away. Chuckling a little more, reaching into my cloak, I pulled out the small pouch and slid out two coppers, “go get yourself a drink Fin” Fin took the coins and walked away.

is seated somewhere within the stands watching the ongoing spectacles unfolding below in the sands... [ The Stadium of Spectacles ]
says to ALL: It has been less than a day; the Tor-tu Gor as out, and high in the sky. Fin was with me today, he looked like a Arian shit house, built in a solid mass of muscle, just missing the main one all men had but him. I motioned him forward, I whispered, “Seek potential” was all I would say to him. It could be a number of things; we were coming through the gates at that moment. I dropped in enough coin for myself and Fin
The pigment in my hands you could tell were slightly cold. I looked as Fin took off, I nodded to the guard, “Tal” I had said, to him. Many of them had referred to me as Caste in last night’s battle. “Early start” the man said to Shade, I laughed. “No not an early start, heard there would be clashing steel, and I like to watch. I’m not used to standing on solid ground when fighting” I laughed, as the man said “Sailor?” I chuckled. I thought I would let him know but then I saw Thierry, “No not sailor, but similar” I dropped an extra coin into the coin box, Thierry and I made my way in. “Over sleep did you my friend?” he laughed. “Oh know, tracking more information on the triskelion image you had located, it is unique even in your neck of the woods” I listened to him speak.
We walked inside, nodding to a few of the men near the door. We made our way into one of the areas that wasn’t so crowded with people. I found a few empty seats, as I sat there, Thierry he was a little fluid in his steps but that never bothered me too much.
“What I have found out, is that this image, was assigned to a village, swallowed up by the swamp that your in, but it wasn’t just an everyday village, this one was marked for demise, by Marlenus of Ar, he ordered all the men killed, women put to slavery in the mines of “ he tapped my shield, “Klima, and all the slaves were drowned, now as fate would have it, you have found your way there. The place is cursed. As the warning was passed to me, I too pass it to you. “ I nodded to his words, “ superstitious much?” I laughed, but Thierry did not.

says to ALL: Thierry having dealt with Shade for now, also with Fin. The last he heard both were on their way either back here, or back to the swamps. I pulled my fur lined throw over my shoulder; it was a soft light blue in color. I looked over a few items upon one of the tables, I stepped near it, I looked into the mirror, pushing back a stray hair, and removing a gray one. I made sure to look around making sure no one saw the gray hair as if.
I was about to say something to the vendor, it was then I saw him, damn he wasn’t alone. But that was alright, I looked to another object on the table. I knew the variable prices that were here, but in all honesty, I wouldn’t pay half of what they were asking. “take two coppers for the mirror and comb?” I said to the man. The vendor looked up towards me, noting whom I was, “Thierry you are a scoundrel of our Caste, you charge extreme prices at that trading post, and here you won’t pay the price their worth.” A coy smile played over my lips, “Well what did you expect me to pay the prices that others pay here?” I had said to the man. “I would expect the same courtesy “ I knew he was right but I wouldn’t admit it. “Well? Will you take the commission or wait until you come ask me for the coin later?” the man grumbled putting out his hand, I dropped the coins in, I took the mirror and comb and slipped it into the satchel I carried with me. “It was nice doing business with you Grendel” I smiled, and began my walk to the market center, I had a meeting perhaps he would come, perhaps he wouldn’t.
Thierry wasn’t a large man, slim in his stature, short cropped chestnut lengths that never came into contact with the tops of his ears or the nape of his neck, fair complexion, with stunning amber eyes, something that would make most women quake in their steps, with long eye lashes. Thierry also wore the clothing of a merchant, dark robes with light and dark blue stitching throughout his clothing.

I looked at the area, it was truly sated that this is not an area that any would allocate me with. But this place unlike any other was fruitful; it lined my pockets with coins, and those of the Regulators. They were a eerie group of men and women. The slaves of the Regulators were foul mouthed, but were decently trained. It may have gone forth about two Ahn, since I left the markets of Ar. I pulled my robbing around myself. Adorned in shades of cobalt, I could see the Outpost coming into view, the men I had haired to row the skiff into the murky waters, were speaking of the eerie, I looked away from them as I spoke.
“You both can blame Shade for this, I told him to steer clear” The man looked to me as if I had two heads, “Steer clear of what” one of the men had said. “To steer clear from the mist; but being pigheaded as he normally is, he is tracking it.” The men looked to me again, “The mist isn’t that from the temperature?” I looked to him. “No its from the Infinis Iniq” I had said sternly. The men went silent, they had heard stories of the Infinis Iniq, it was jus the mention of those two words and everything in and around the Outpost went quiet. “That area of the swamp is it not off limits by order of Marlenus?” one of them had said. I looked to him, “Telling that to Shade, only encourages him, he spits on the rule of Marlenus.”
There was a dreaded silence that moved over the group in the skiff, I slowly began to rise, when we approached the docks. “Tie up here, go upstairs have a drink. I will see what things I need to attend to, before we head back out”
Thierry was a many of business, not of refuge, he was the man of means when it came to the lucrative nature of the Outpost, and he transported and sold the goods in and out of the swamps. Thierry looked around the docks, he had yet to be seen, and Thierry was looking for one individual he liked to tease but he was not to be seen. Standing there on the dock, I could see what Shade had meant, but I also began to hear whispers about the place I had mentioned, some things like this can never always be good and the Infinis Iniq was definitely not a good thing.

-[Outside Stairs]- - Ascending from the docks, is a two tier staircase, leading up to the upper cylinder of the trading post. - says to ALL: I thought about many things when I stepped near the stairs. I reached forward for the railing, I ascended the two tier staircase, taking one step at a time, approaching such dynamics when I turned to my left, I could see the overbearing swamp lands. This area untamed, and had its own set of laws and regulations, outside the rule of any city, the swamps was a wild area, and the only rules here were truly the limits of your own mind and capabilities.
I approached a man on the stairs, it was Stennis, he nodded his head to me. “Tal Thierry, it’s good to see you again.” I smiled to the man’s words; it was about a half smile. “Tal Stennis, I trust all is in order inside?” Stennis had nodded his head, “Aye as far as I know, have you seen Shade?” “Aye, I have, but he is in route to the Infinis Iniqu” it was then Stennis groaned. “Not that again,” Stennis had said. I nodded to his words, “It seems to be so, him and Fin, are tracking down the eerie” Stennis shook his head, as I moved past him, “If I see him Stennis, I will let him know that you’re looking for him.” Stennis nodded his head, as Thierry moved past him, going towards the entrance of the outpost.

-[Inside Outpost]- - You hear a holler from the Outpost proprietor “That’ll be two copper for docking at my docks!” yep he remembered, once you step in the area is not large but not overly small - says to ALL: Thierry finally made it inside, he opened the door, hearing the man at the counter yell, “Already took payment” the man sat up just about to say something, and then he laughed. “You’re not Shade, your Thierry” the man muttered. Thierry laughed at the reference, Thierry closed the door behind him. When in the room, Thierry lifted off his slight cloak of cobalt, and walks around the counter.
“Do you have the log books?” I asked. The smaller man replied, “Do I look like a scribe?” I laughed which wasn’t supposed to be funny. “Well its in your eyes, and it tells me you held some sort of record for Shade.” The man looked to me. “Well, you’re not Shade now are you? “ I shook my head
Thierry shook his head, “This tells me you are attempting to be humorous and yet you are failing miserably.”
Thierry thought a moment, while he rolled up his sleeves, he didn’t like to be violent, it wasn’t in him truly. He waved over Stennis as he came in. Pointing to the man, “I think he needs to go for a swim” Stennis, being one of the Enforcers of the Regulators, he was one of Shades top henchmen.
The smaller man spoke, “Stennis you are not going to listen to him are you?” Stennis looked to the man. “No I don’t have to, but he is like me a Regulator, and he and I have the same code of ethics. We follow Shade in all he does, and Thierry here is Shades merchant, his means to have our goods, and services brought to the cities, where we exchange and sell for a profit.
“The man looked to Thierry, as he was about to be grabbed by Stennis, he threw the book at him. “Here you go” Thierry laughed and motioned to the cage, “see if he can clear the cages” Thierry said, the smaller man spoke, “But I gave you the log book.” Just as Thierry opened the log book, “Too late, you should of done so when I asked.” I nodded.
Stennis took the man to the opening in the wall which lead to the cages, and took the man by the scuff of the neck and then also by the leathers, and with a heavy ho, he threw the man and a TING TONGZONG sound emitted and then a groan, “ I hit the cages, he is heavier then he looks “ the men in the room laughed, as did the women.
Closing the book I took them, I looked around the room, and found my way to the wall, I pressed down on the loose board and pushed the panel in the wall open. When I stepped inside, I closed the hidden door behind me, this opening took me into the background. I wasn’t sure if Shade had been in here recently or not, but I was here before Shade, I knew the hidden compartments of the room. I swore I had hid that map better then what I had. I wanted to make sure Shade had not found the triskelion either, there was a pendant here that shared more secrets.

says to ALL: The scent of the swamps evidently upon my clothing, I had been in the Rim Quadrant for almost two full hands now, and still have not found anything. I was hoping to run into Thierry here, as I had been hearing from other men of my home this is where he is commonly found, for what reason that is unbeknownst to me. Places like this I disliked for their commonality. But it was an area to find good information regarding all types of deals. Unlike the backroom at the Trade Post, where deaths, thefts, maiming’s were generally discussed if only the walls of that room could talk, how many would be at the end of a rope tied between two tarns, I smirked to my own thoughts.
I stopped by the shop to which Thierry Kieran frequently sold goods at. I spoke to one of the men there. “Tal Merchant, have you see” I made the wave of my hands to be a flamboyant wave. The merchant gave me an odd look and laughed, and then it struck him, “Oh you are a friend of Thierry’s” the man laughed once more. “I haven’t seen him since he went to the swamp to his trading post.” I looked to the man, and thought his trading post, well know. “Well if you do see Thierry, tell him one of his employees is looking for him.” The man nodded his head, “And whom shall I say?” I looked to the man as he smiled with curiosity; “Shade” was the only word I said. The man lifted a brow at the word shade but not alone at the name. “That is a peculiar name.” I laughed, when I heard his sentiment. “Aye, its unique like me” I smiled.
I stepped away then from the shop owner, I continued to make my way down, the street. A free woman made a comment on the odour. I looked to her, “That’s me, is et du swamp, a very expensive cologne in Ar” I laughed, and walked on. I stopped a moment and smelt my clothing, I couldn’t smell anything. I continued to walk through the streets.

-[moving through the market's streets]-
says to ALL: I had just said hello to the Lady N’kara, it was then I spotted, Thierry, I made sure no one was within a three food radius of me, why because I was just about to whistle, I put both index and middle fingers into my mouth from both hands as sharp loud whistle would ring out, I moved my hands down, “Wasn’t me” I laughed, as I saw Thierry look in my direction, he nodded his head, and went into another store. I know he didn’t like me looking for the damned village of Infinis Iniq a village once damned by the warlord Administrator Marlenus. I spit on the ground even thinking of the man’s name.
I pushed away from the retaining wall I was leaning upon. ..weaving to and fro between the crowd of men and women, I goosed a few slaves in passing.. It was several ehn before I found myself to the shop, I looked inside, and Thierry was gone, “Son of a bitch!” I muttered loudly. Looking around the area “Thierry where are you hiding?” I looked around, I heard his laughter, I looked to him. “So I hear you own the Outpost” Thierry looked to me, he made this sweet little face like he does to Fin, “Since you are my employer now, where is my pay?” Thierry tried to look away, “You’re right Shade, it’s your place of business, I work for you.” I nodded. “I know I was waiting for you to admit that.” I smirked. I stood there, between a crate, and a building, “So what have you found out Thierry?” he looked to me. “On?” I looked to him. “You know what I am referring to.” He groaned. “You are not going to let this go are you Shade?” I looked to him and shook my head. “If you are still set on the Infinis Iniq, I had thought I had removed all the maps.” I tapped your cloak. “But I see you had found one of them, in the back room there are 3 more maps. If you found this one, you’ll find the other three.” I glared at him. “You mean to tell me now, that there are four maps, not just this one?” I punched the crate hard, Thierry flinched. “You should of just told me.” Thierry spoke, “I was hoping you would let this go, and the threat of Marlenus has instilled I n everyone would of thwarted your endeavours” “Well you know me and my thoughts on him, he …” I left it at that, too many ears were around. “So are those maps, in the same area, where this one was located?” Thierry looked to me and shook his head no. “Well Fin,is out on one of the skiffs in the Rim Quadrant, looking for the triskelion symbols that we found, I don’t think we’ll need the other maps, but if we do now I know where they are located.” I looked to him again. “Your lucky, were family, or I would enslave your ass and sell you to the nearest panther lair.” I pushed him.
Of course Thierry was akin to me, he was the only one that truly knew who I was, and what I had been through. He knew better then to hold anything away from me, especially when I wanted something. I sucked in a deep breath at those few moments. I looked back to Thierry, his eyes were still wide.
“Shade, you swore to father, you would never do that.” Of course he knew I wouldn’t. “Well I am good to my word, you’re lucky there Thierry, but never hold information back from me again, family or not I’ll kick your ass from here to doomsday and back.” Thierry nodded his head. “Agreed.”
Of course I hadn’t known Thierry had been to the swamps years before I had made my way there, the Outpost could have been his, but by the time I had got there, no one was there, and there were signs of no life there for years. But then again anyone could of claimed that, but to hold the information of the Infinis Iniq from me, just pissed me off, I needed something to drink. I started my way back to the center hub.

SHADE Swamp Forest Regulators Outlaw Pass Outpost | Imagine Chat
-[ Eastern Swamp Quadrant ]- - You are in the eastern area of the swamp, several hundred pasang into the treacherous and web domain of the spider people. - says to ALL: I reached up with both my left and right hands, knee deep in the murky depths, I pushed my way through the foliage that was in my way, branches were whipping back hitting me in the face, leaving red welts in the presence, “ouch” Shade cried out, as he felt a branch whip back, and hit him in the mouth, a bit of blood fell from his lip and into the murky depths, the blood spread easily, then I heard the splash of water ahead of me. All that was running through my head at this moment, was that it could be a marsh shark, and all I had on me was a short sword, reaching with my left hand, I moved the leather fiber over the pommel, I lifted it up with my left hand, I pulled the short sword out, it was near twenty horts in full length. I switched it over to my right hand holding it out in front of me making sure I had some sort of safety net there.
I finally made it through the foliage, I looked around the waters were calm, which ideally was good, but something was always hiding beneath the surface, I had a heavy pack of food on my back. I called out. “FIN! Where are you?” I looked around again trudging my way out into the depths of the water. I didn’t get a reply back, I waded my way out, and the water was getting deeper and deeper the further I went out. It was not long before I was chest deep in the water. I could feel the eyes of those of the Spider people whom where near, but they tended to not interfere. IT doesn’t help when you piss them off and go looking for the Infinis Iniq. Several ehn had passed, and I lost my footing, now I was beneath the water, I came to the surface quickly, coughing. I oddly enough had kept ahold of my sword when I hit the bottom and pushed back up I swam back a few paces, to gather my footing again. If I would not of been quick to react, I would of lost everything even my food, as well as Fin’s for the next few days.
A few more ehn’s passed, it was then I saw Fin coming, I stood there, waiting for him to get close enough, I tossed my sword into the skiff, and then rolling my shoulders back , I swung the pack around and to my left I tossed the pack into the skiff also, placing my hands down upon the skiff.
“Took you long enough?” I said to him. “But Master you said you were coming in on the klim side of the swamp, not the Rim side” I looked to him, “Well I thought you were a mind reader” he laughed, “ I don’t look like a Priest King do I Master?” Fin had said. I looked to him, “Well, “ I said, “you may pass for an Initiate” I laughed, as I hoisted myself up and rolled into the skiff.

-[ Eastern Swamp Quadrant ]- - You are in the eastern area of the swamp, several hundred pasang into the treacherous and web domain of the spider people. - says to ALL: It wasn’t long after I said that, that I had an oar swung at my head, I looked up just as the edge brushed the tip of my nose, my eyes centered in almost crosseyed. “Hey watch it, you could of hit me!” I bellowed. Fin glared, “Damnit I was trying to, if you wouldn’t rock the skiff so much I may have.” I sat right up. “Careful, it won’t be your balls that is missing next “ said as I spit to the water.
I stood up and balanced my feet shoulder width a part in the skiff, Fin looked away, and I pushed him into the murky waters, and it was a mere ihn, and I was thwacked in the side of the head with that very oar, and I too went over the edge, with a large splash. Of course these splashes may bring in unwanted predators, which was never ideal.
I got to the surface, I was coughing up water, while gripping the edge of the skiff, also was Fin, coughing and spitting up water. “Well I didn’t plan that one too well “ we both laughed. At the same time, we both hoisted ourselves up and rolling into the skiff, I laid there for several more ehn’s, “I guess it was karma, or fate that oar was marked for me” laughing more, running my hands and fingers through my hair.
Slowly I sat up, leaning my elbows upon my thighs, “So Fin, have you found any more symbols?” he looked to me.“Well, I’ve seen some, but I got lost in the mist? I swear I was near the graveyard” I looked to him. “Way out there, I thought it would be around here more.” I thought about this for several ehn’s. “Well, we will have to go there, and seek it out, make sure the symbols are old, not fresh. Thierry said that everyone will stop us from finding it. Marlenus included.” He nodded to my words, “I’m tired so you may row.” I smirked.
